ABOUT
Alicia is a proven strategist and advocate with over a decade of policy experience. She has successfully applied her advocacy nationally, having worked on issues related to consumer protections, workforce and economic development, food access, education, and health.
She provides solutions and support for clients throughout the legislative process, working with organizations to leverage their power through grassroots organizing and coalition building.
Some of Alicia’s most notable accomplishments include the landmark Fair Sentencing for Youth Act, which ended life without parole for juveniles, working to end the solitary confinement of minors, and being a key strategist in the campaign to end predatory lending in California.
Alicia serves on the Board of Directors for CA Latinas for Reproductive Justice and is on the Steering Committee for Californians for Economic Justice. She is a former Executive Board member for the California Edge Coalition.
